The CHDCA is an independent, non-political and non-profit organization established on August 11, 2020 (20 Asad 1399). It was founded through the collaborative efforts of researchers, archaeologists, cultural figures, and filmmakers, and is officially registered under registration number 49 with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of Information and Culture of Afghanistan.
The Center is dedicated to documenting Afghanistan’s cultural heritage across various fields, including social history, cultural and artistic traditions, archaeology, tourism, and natural heritage.

Our Vision is to become a leading and respected institution at both national and international levels, dedicated to the systematic and scientifically grounded documentation of Afghanistan’s cultural, literary, historical, social, artistic, architectural, and and archaeological heritage. as well as the lives of its national figures. By adhering to global standards, the center seeks not only to preserve the country’s cultural assets but also to raise international awareness of Afghanistan’s rich and diverse cultura cultural legacy.

General Objectives of the Organization

  2. Establishing a digital database to store, manage, and provide open access to information and resources related to cultural heritage.
  3. Empowering human resources through training programs for researchers, archaeologists, and individuals interested in the history and culture of Afghanistan.
  4. Protecting and safeguarding cultural heritage in collaboration with relevant national and international institutions.
  5. Promoting and introducing Afghanistan’s cultural diversity, with a focus on its various ethnic groups, languages, customs, and traditions.
